so here goes something… and what it is i’m not quite sure. recently i have found that there is no lack of inspiration in my life. it comes in all forms. textiles, photographs, paintings, blogs, websites, books, and the almost one-year-old boy that is growing up around me. in fact the one-year-old boy is probably my biggest source of joy and inspiration every day!
before he came along i couldn’t keep our plants alive or sew a lick of clothing. and now we have somewhat thriving vegetable garden and i’ve sewn some baby boys pants, little girls skirts, burp cloths, and few other random things. when Callan came into this world and eventually started growing out of all the wonderful clothes our friends and family gifted us, i did the thing any mother would do – i went shopping. and what i found as far as boy clothing was concerned was disappointing! so after picking up a few basic i decided it was time to learn how to use the dust collector, otherwise known as my sewing machine. all this has brought me here. to a place where i want to share these pants with you. and who knows where it will all lead.
before you navigate away from the page please know that this won’t be a baby pants only blog. here i will share the musing of our family life, sources of inspiration, and some photography – mine and others. my initial effort will be to post here every day…but will see how that goes.
